2010 August Special Announcement

Dae Yen Sa International Buddhist Temple and Meditation Center

Memory Ceremony

The Buddhist Ritual of Bek-jung Chundo-jae for Deceased Ancestors

Sunday, August 22 beginning at 11:30 AM

Greetings to all members of Dae Yen Sa International Buddhist Temple. We offer supreme reverence to the Triple Gem “Buddha, Dharma, Sangha“ and we hope all is well with you and your family.

Dae Yen Sa International Buddhist Temple will be celebrating the Buddhist ritual of Bek-jung Chundo-jae, a memorial service for our deceased ancestors. [English-speaking members may arrive at 1:00 PM to observe and participate in the ceremony. However, if you wish to formally include your ancestors' names in the ceremony, please arrive no later than 12:00 noon.] Bek-jung Chundo-jae is one of the five most important Buddhist devotional holidays of the year.

We hope you will participate with us in the ceremony of Bek-jung Chundo-jae as we pray for the liberation of our deceased ancestors, repent of our own offenses and offer merit for the benefit of all beings as one community of peace.

We wish each of you Buddha wisdom and supreme compassion.

Sincerely,

Master Dae San Sunim, Hap-Jang
